Covenant House Michigan residents, alumni, staff and supporters will come together to light a candle of hope, sing, pray and take a stance for the estimated 5,000+ metro Detroit youths who wander the street on any given night in search for a warm bed, a hot meal and someone to care.

Candlelight Vigil
Thursday, November 20, 2014

Join us as we gather together during our 17th Annual Candlelight Vigil Against Youth Homelessness. The vigil, which coincides with National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (Nov. 12-20), was created by CHM to bring awareness to the issue of youth homelessness and CHM’s tireless commitment to the young people they serve each and every day. The teens that come to CHM are not homeless because they spent their lives making bad decisions; they are homeless because of abuse, poverty, mental illness or neglect.

The vigil, combined with our Sleep Out: Executive Edition presented by the Detroit Auto Dealers Association which takes place immediately after, will help transforms the lives of thousands of homeless youth across North America.
