About Us

Covenant House Michigan (CHMI) provides young people experiencing homelessness and survivors of human trafficking with unconditional love, absolute respect, and relentless support. Founded in 1997, we offer more than a dozen programs and services on two campuses in Detroit and Grand Rapids - providing shelter, teaching life skills, and creating pathways to employment - for emerging adults ages 18-24. Through street outreach, short-term shelter, transitional living, and more, we empower young people to rise and overcome adversity. Our doors are open 24/7.
